Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I subscribe?
Subscribing is free and gives you access to subscriber-only benefits and content. For instance, free subscribers can comment on and get into discussion with others on all of my posts. Subscribers also gain exclusive access to my audio deep dives, which analyse my posts, giving unique perspectives.
Lastly, you would be supporting independent writing and publishing, as my writing and website are not supported by advertising.
What is the difference between Subscribe & Supporter plans?
TLDR: There is very little difference between the Free Subscribe & Supporter plans. One helps me share my writing with subscribers via email, and the other supports my writing and self-publishing costs.
I publish my writing on this website for all to read, for free. The only barrier to accessing some of this content is the need to create a free subscriber account. A free subscriber account enables me to keep my readers and subscribers up to date when I publish new writing. I periodically send out newsletters, and subscribers can unsubscribe at any time.
Subscribing unlocks additional features, like the ability to discuss my posts and interact with other readers through comments. This is done to manage spam comments by bots.
A Supporter plan is just that, a monetary way to support me; my writing and publishing. Supporter plans can be a monthly or annual payment. Although it doesn't unlock any new functionality, I do send the occasional exclusive newsletter to this group of generous readers.
